Bought Spotted Ram with Sunny Ewe

In this series i am using the purchased spotted ram purple dots to the sunny ewe from easter trade in, instead of breeding the same i bred the ram to the offspring. attempting to get a more intense yellow. so far the second baby has gained more color through out the body, and the spots turned purple instead of the hardly seen yellow on yellow spots from first breeding.

Because I feel I have little need for multiples of the same patterned ewe I gave this ewe lamb away and was told it is solid white. Don't know what the color area are in her... Here is the Picture as promised.

Busting Zynga's Published Crap Myths

Fourth Breeding
On this attempt I went with the same white Ram and a lovely Star Patterned Green Ewe. In this one I loaded the ewe in the stall first....
I just realized that I am going to have to also start paying attention to which animal I place in the stall first.... as in this one I placed the ewe first and the next on I am going to start placing the ram first. Will it make a difference? I don't know, but maybe that is one thing that can be discovered.

Of course I was disappointed that I got a white no patterned ewe, but that is what Zynga said to expect. "The pattern will be determined by the Ram" they said "The color will be determined by the ewe." In this case the color was determined by the ram.... first zynga myth busted

Fifth Breeding

Using the same white Ram and the same Star patterned ewe. In this one I loaded the Ram in the stall first.

It another ewe ... that is two in a row.


Oh my goodness... we bust the second myth that Zynga published as truth. In this Case the ewe determined the pattern

Sixth Breeding

Again I am pairing the exact same Pair as I would really like a ram with this star patterned. Again loading the Ram in the stall first.

Surprise, surprise its another girl... the good thing is Zynga published the other day that if you breed the same pair three times and get the same sex.... the fourth time you will get the opposite sex.


And once again it is a Ram determined base color.. I guess we must consider the ewe did determine the pattern color. We should also take note that the Star pattern is a darker color green.

Seventh Breeding

Still using the same pair with the Ram loaded into the stall first. According to Zynga I am going to finally get my Ram.
But Shock of Shocks .... Another myth busted....... Its a Ewe :(

Again a lovely darker green star pattern on the base of a white ewe.

I am still not sure what we have learned here.... next time I have love potions I will load the ewe into the stall first and see if that makes any difference..... of course it might be more fair to start the loading difference on a fresh set of sheep.... but I still want a Green Star patterned white Ram..... so I will continue with this pair..... except I will give away all the girls.... with the understanding I will need a picture of the animal when grown.........

Getting Started Breeding

I have had several people ask me how I am getting color sheep.... colors other than purple and dark blue. The first two or three time I tried breeding sheep all I got was the ugly purple and blue sheep also...

Well since the only sheep I had was a dark purple color area 2& 3 and Blue color area 1 Ram and a Redish color area 1&2 Maroon color area 3 ewe that came with the sheep breeding shed.

I tried several breeding and sure enough all I was getting were the same ole sheep over and over.....so I thought to myself ... how would genetics work in real life?

I don't think we should really get to deep into deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) which makes up our genes that carry our traits through the generations, and serve as instruction books for making functional molecules such as ribonucleic acid (RNA) and proteins.... lets stick to real basic stuff.

Stuff like Brown dominates Blonde, or Brown dominated Blue.... basicly the darker the color the more dominate.

So I thinks to myself... Self I say, you need something lighter to work with. First I traded in some gold to get Shamrock sheep.... then I remembered the reward for digging a storage cellar which is the Miner Sheep which is a muddled whitish ewe.

I then begin breeding that ewe with the Ram until I got a white color area 1 muddled color area 3 and small white color area 2 ewe.
Which I then bred with my lightest dark Ram and I got my Ram that I have been doing most of my Breeding with so far.

With this Ram I breed to the luv Ewe which I got from Valentines I think to get the pretty pastel pink ewes.

Proud of myself I then turned my attention back to the Red ewe.... breeding the white Ram to the Red ewe until I got the yellow ewe.


Ok I think that pretty much catches us up to how I got to where this blog started.

Jack Alexander's Shared Breeding

Jack Alexander has been kind enough to share his last three breeding attempts with us. for hia first breeding he is using a white color area 2 and a gray color area 3 Ram and a Shamrock ewe.

and got a female lamb
and when taht lamb grew up it was a purple spoted white ewe
Again he bred the same white Ram with the Shamrock Ewe
And again got a purple spotted ewe
Then he used his last love potions to try one more time... the same White ram and Shamrock ewe
This time slightly different results as he got a ram.
